     New Vision Family Outreach Ministry Inc. began in the fall of 2001 as "New Vision Outreach Prayer Ministry"  established as a telephone prayer line ministry for people in crisis. The prayer line was established to allow individuals in crisis seeking comfort through the Word of God, an avenue to hear messages recorded daily. Individuals could also leave prayer request and/or a telephone number if they wanted to speak with one of the prayer counselors. The prayer line evolved into a source of personal, spiritual and biblical counseling and mentorship extension, to support and encourage Christian and Non-Christian individuals.

     New Vision Outreach Prayer Ministry realized the need for the prayer line as well as the mentorship program, to assist individuals in developing their spiritual growth through the understanding of biblical principals. New Vision knew the importance of a sound belief system. We believed that individuals equipped with the understanding and ability to apply these principals, to their daily lives would lead to a strong foundation of empowerment. During this phase of New Vision's growth, we discovered the needs in literacy and the overall lack of mastery of basic educational components. We began to assist individuals by tutoring them in reading and math.

      New Vision Family Outreach Ministry Inc. has became a resource center for employment, education, housing, and parenting as well as other essential daily necessities.  New Vision Family Outreach Ministry Inc. through Gods enablement assisted many individuals through prayer, spiritual counseling, mentorship, training, resources and financial support.

     New Vision Family Outreach Ministry Inc. a quiet but constant voice within the Hampton Roads Community serving families and individuals in Gloucester, Williamsburg, Yorktown, Newport News, Hampton, Norfolk, Portsmouth, and areas outside the municipalities of the Virginia Peninsula.. New Vision Family Outreach Ministry Inc. assists families and individuals within these communities without regard to race, gender, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, age or financial status.

    New Vision Family Outreach Ministry Inc. continues to make a difference in the lives of families and individuals within our community as a beacon to guide as many families and individuals as possible. Our goal is to equip families and individuals with the skills to help guide them to a better way of life. New Vision  Family Outreach Ministry believes every family that desires to can attain stability and become self-sufficient.
